Brody Theater getting evicted.

Hello Viewers,

As of 1/1/07, the space the Brody operates in under the Bullring Restaurant will be vacated. The bank that is controlling the property is requiring both the Bullring and the Brody to vacate by 1/1.

Ten years of history goes ‘bye-bye’. The new year is going to bring some interesting changes. Time to look for new space.

    1. Yeah, we’ve been in the space for 10 years. It’s where I grew up as an improviser. Either way, thanks for the encouragement, Richard.

  2. Itinerant?
I’m posting late to this particular thread, but it’s something I’ve thought about ever since I heard the news: has the Brody considered existing as an itinerant company? Obviously, that’s a *bit* of a given because of the eviction. What I mean is, have you thought of being itinerant for a while? On purpose? Different cities, different circumstances, but WNEP Theater in Chicago has been itinerant for a couple years and it’s thriving in a modified incarnation.
(This is probably a moot point I’m making from my laptop that is 1200 miles from the Brody.)
Regardless, I’m thinking of you all and am confident the Brody, as a group of artists, will jump this unexpected hurdle with style and good humor.
    Love, love, love to all!
